About our Process
Travis began his career in residential framing in 1989, establishing his first framing company in1994. As he gained experience solving the inevitable challenges of construction, he expanded his expertise to encompass more complex and demanding aspects of the building process. In 2002, Travis and Yvette took the bold step of building their own homes from the ground up with Dog Star Construction.
Dog Star Construction offers a distinctive service by designing plans that harmonize with the natural topography. With extensive experience staking out a wide range of lots—both flat and steep—Travis understands the potential challenges that may arise. This firsthand knowledge is incorporated into every plan to anticipate and address issues before they surface on-site. Our
meticulous drawing process ensures proactive problem-solving, minimizing complications during construction.
We believe in the fundamental value of being present on-site daily, with a hands-on general contractor actively engaged in the project.
