5 Bogey Lane-Custom built 3088 Square Foot home. This home was drawn and designed by Travis. In order to accommodate the best view -this house has 10 foot ceilings on the lower level and 9 foot ceilings upstairs. With four generous sized bedrooms upstairs including an 800 square foot master bedroom with a gas fireplace and attached deck. For convenience the laundry is also located upstairs. Downstairs boasts an office off the double door entry, a large living area with gas fireplace and a gorgeous large kitchen with oversized kitchen island. The dining area is delineated by four columns and a coffered ceiling. Private deck off the back of home with a virtual wall of windows and French Doors allowing the beauty of the forest to be a part of your living experience.

3 Sugarpine Place.

The Sugarpine Cul-de-Sac homes were a challenging build simply due to the fact that the cul-de-sac had not been fully developed when construction began back in the 70's From utility hubs being in the wrong place and needing to be relocated, to parking that had never been developed and the actual cul-de-sac was never fully developed to its correct dimensions. Facing these challenges, with some creative brainstroming and planning on Travis part and countless hours spent coordinating with the various entities to accomplish what, at times, seemed insurmountable Dog Star Construction achieved a clear path to building.


#4 Sugarpine Pl is a beautiful 4 bedroom 3 bathroom home. From upstairs you have a fantastic forest view with tons of Southern exposure. The master bedroom is quite roomy with a full size walk in closet and a large master bathroom with a barn style shower door displaying gorgeous tile work. Open great room with gas fireplace. Kitchen has SS appliances and a large island for cooking. There is also a laundry room with access to back deck. One of the bedrooms also has French Doors leading to the very private back deck. Another fantastic feature is the 4th bedroom is downstairs with its own 3/4 bath perfect for an in law suite. The home also features a mini split with A/C.

Dog Star Construction

Wisteria Lane-designed by Dog Star with 4 bedrooms, 3 full baths. Large kitchen with walk in pantry. Lower level with living area and bedroom and full bathroom. In this house we installed Infrared Radiant Heating panels. These are placed on the ceiling and radiate downwards. It gives the same type of feeling as being heated by sunshine. The nice thing is each room was equipped with its own thermostat control so it is extremely efficient as you are not heating rooms not used on a regular basis. We also installed them on the back covered deck for entertaining on cool summer nights.

Custom built 4200 square foot home drawn and designed by Dog Star Construction to capture the best view from each floor. 5 bedrooms, 3 full baths, one half bath, an office on the main floor. 3 separate decks, a large gourmet kitchen, walk in pantry, granite countertops and hardwood though out the entire home. This home was Travis' design from beginning to end. The initial challenge was designing a house plan to accommodate the contours of the lot, as it was extremely steep and wooded. Once he had the design and the plans finalized he focused on being able to capture the lake view from all floors.  By working with the local HOA and with some help from an arborist we were able to do just that. Travis spent a lot of hours working on the finish carpentry, cabinet installation and the stonework on this home. 

Custom home built by Dog Star Construction. Home was built alongside clients existing shop/living quarters.  A unique feature of this home is the attached pool room. Pool room is located parallel to living room and can be opened creating a large attached recreation area via the 6 foot opposing sliding doors, allowing for entertainment or private swimming. Very popular now is Core Tec Luxury Vinyl Planking or similar products. It is extremely durable and beautiful and waterproof and  was installed throughout entire home.
